Peter studied guitar at the Zilina Conservatory of Music, in the class of professor Jan Labant (1991-1995) and with Prof. Jozef Zsapka (1995-2000) at the Academy of Dramatic Art and Music in Bratislava. Since 1998 he has taught guitar at the conservatory in Zilina.

In 1994 he won First Prize and the SHF Award for the best interpretation of a work by a Slovak composer, in a competition of guitar students of Slovak Conservatories and two months later, won the First prize at the Zory International guitar competition in Poland.

Peter is regularly invited to adjudicate at guitar and chamber music competitions. He records for Slovak National Radio, performs as a soloist (in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland), in a duet with Jan Labant (duo 'LA BARRE' ), and collaborates with a number of orchestras. From 1997-1998 He performed in a chamber trio with piano and accordion, focussing on the work of Argentine composers. The trio have performed at concerts in Slovakia as well as Germany.

Some of his other musical directions have been in ensembles such as the contemporary folk group 'Jason' with whom he has performed dozens of concerts nationally and internationally since 1995. He has recorded a debut CD album with this ensemble called 'A Couple of Goals', a CD of guitar concertos by composer Marian Budos, and new works for guitar duet with fellow classical guitarist Jan Labant, in ‘Duo La Barre’. The duo can be heard at the upcoming Kernow International Guitar Festival this September, 2002.
